Surprise?!

They both made birthday cards,
For their wai gong,
For his birthday!~~~~~

Little prince now,
Can draw a cake all by himself!~
Little princess,
Still need mummy's assistance on making the card....

The next morning,
I asked the kids to bring the cards and pass it to their wai gong...

My cheeky son said:
Cannot just give like that,
No surprise at all!~~~~

He ended up,
Sipping the birthday cards,
In the newspaper.....

My dad reads newspaper every morning!~
And that's how he discover,
Two little cards,
Done by his grandson and granddaughter....
S-U-R-P-R-I-S-E!~

Sailing....

Off we go,
To sailing...
In the boat,
Or you can call it yacht....
We made with unwanted empty boxes...

Drawing Animals...

Such a colourful pig, dinasour & girrafe!~~~

Peacock

An artwork done,
Back during Deepavali holiday.....
:)

Peacock made with paper plate!~
We draw circles,
For the pattern of peacocok tail,
Using crayons.......

Then we use water colour,
To colour the whole paper plate...

After that,
We stick the details of the peacock:
Eyes, beak, body, legs......
With coloured paper......

Green tails for mei mei's peacock,
And blue one for kor kor's peacock...
;)

The Elephants

Looking at the elephant her kor kor made,
My little girl suddenly eagerly want to make one.....
Since the children are having their crafting time together,
My little boy made another elephant, too!~

This round,
They painted colourful girl girl elephants..

Z for Zoo

Finally,
It's z is for zoo!~

We cut out many animals' shapes...
And stick it on the alphabet 'z'......
Particularly means a small Zoo..
:)

Y for Yoyo

Yoyo is a very fun game.....
We made our own y is for yoyo.....
On the paper itself.....

Though we can't play this yoyo...
We still enjoy the process of 'buildiing' it!~

X for X-Ray

x is for x-ray...
Running out of idea,
On how to make it more interesting..
Thus,
We just draw simple X-ray hand and X-ray feet,
On the alphabet x itself...

W for Watch

W is for the little watch,
That can tell us,
What's the time now.....

V is for vase,
To put beautiful flowers..

Nowadays,
Almost everyday rains....

U for umbrella,
Is exactly what we need,
During rainy days......

This is the alphabet,

My little prince do all by himself.....

I requested him to stop doing for a while,

Since it's time for me to cook lunch,

But he insisted to continue himself......

Not bad,

Just forget to cut out,

The circle in the center for the 'p'...

But I can't do any amendments on that already,
Since when I finish cook,

He already stick and done everything..

O for orange...

2nd fruits after apple,

Just make one 'o' shape,
With orange colour paper,
It'll looks like Orange..

Drawing Butterflies

My little prince wanted to draw butterfly.....
Since his school is learning on thematic - insect,
I think it'd be a great idea,
To have a drawing related to his school theme.....

Initially,
I thought he wanted to draw one big butterfly only,
But he keep on drawing,
Until the paper is full of butterflies........

I'd really love to let him try on,
A paper full of colour,
Therefore,
After finish drawing with pencil,
I let him colour the butterfly with crayon.....
Whatever colour he choose,
To make his butterflies more attractive and colourful.....

After he's done with colouring with crayon,
We paint the background......
He chooses green as,
He said butterflies always fly in the garden...
And the garden is full of greenery.....

I thought he'll use only one plain green,
But he's creative enough,
To mix around with dark green and light green and yellow...
To complete the wonderful drawing!~~~~~~

I love this drawing so much!~

Fold the paper into half,
And put any colours they like,
Anywhere they like,
In the half of the drawing paper.......

After they're done,
They'll fold the paper again,
And let the colours 'stamp',
On the other side of the paper.....

My little prince asked,
Why bottom of i is so sharp?
I answered him,
That only makes it looks like ice-cream......
The real 'i' should be of same size...
:p

Well,
Need to do some minor modification,
In order to 'shape' like the item then~~~~~~
But luckily,
Didn't confuse him on the actual way to write an 'i'...

H for hat

This time,
He stick his 'h for hat',
Down the a4 paper......

No choice,
But to write the 'hat'word up the alphabet art.....
Not consistence,
But still ok......
Fully done by him....

While my little prince's sticking 'g',
In his ABC art book......
The gum sudden poured out.....
You can see the gum's spot,
Even after it dried up.....
Lots and lots of gum...
For g for girl..

Butterfly

Another version of butterfly....

We put some water on the tissue with paint brush first,
Then look and observe together how the colours spread out.....

It turn out to be colourful butterflies!~

Secret Message

Got this secret message idea,
From Preschool Projects' blog...

Pre-prepared my kids' drawing papers,

Written with white crayon.............

Before they paint it with water colours,

I told them,

I have a secret message for them in the paper......

Both of them are so curious to find out what's it:
Simpler version for my little princess.....
Since my prince can read the alphabet well,
I wrote him a longer message,
With the same meaning......

Jellyfish

Another fun art time with the kids......

Kor kor bring his jelly fish to school,
For his show and tell session.......

He said,
I wanted to make jellyfish,
But it turn out to be more like octopus...

hahahaahahha!~

Crayon

The kids draw the outline,
With crayons.......

Later on,
Colour it up with water colours......

As usual,
They can draw anything they want.....
Without any theme set for them.....

They feels so amazed...
After the colour from the water colour,
Didn't mix up with crayon.....
And their drawing is still there.....

You can pretty much differentiate,
Which one is kor kor's art work,
Which one belongs to mei mei's,
By just looking at the painting...

Alphabet Art Book

If you've been wondering,
What we did with our alphabet art,
After finish cutting and sticking....

We're actually compiling,
All the alphabets,
Into an alphabet book.....

Of course,
My little prince have a chance,
To practice his writings,
Capital and small letters of the word.......

Best part of it is,
He enjoys it very much!~

And stick it on the used straws.....

Learn to Draw

Hubby's been complaining,
I'm not teaching my kids drawing,
In a proper way.....
Hence,
He bought back this book!~~~~~

On how to draw.......

Since we got the book already,
Why not try to copy some drawing?
Instead of just let the kids draw free handed every time......
Copying fast also a skill they need to learn,
When they go to primary school~~~~~~~
